Resilience in the Face of Loss: Our Remaining Fabrics Need Your Love

Dear Loyal Subscribers and Friends,

It is with heavy hearts that we share some heartbreaking news. After three years of dedicated effort in inventorying and cataloging Barbara's unnamed fabric collection, tragedy struck on Sunday, January 28th, in Sonoma, CA. A devastating fire consumed the majority of these cherished fabrics.

Just last week, we had proudly presented these fabrics on our website, marking a significant milestone for our small business. However, last week, at the commercial building where we had organized and stored the last of the bolts and some remnants the fire was somehow started. This unfortunate event led to a fire that took away these treasures. Though they were uninsured, the real loss lies in the beauty and craftsmanship of these fabrics, as well as the countless hours our family and friends invested in organizing and cataloging them. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all of you for your support and assistance throughout this journey. The cause is still under investigation.

In the wake of this tragedy, we have removed all the lost items from our website. What remains at Kearsley are the fabrics that were safely stored at our own premises. These fabrics await their chance to shine in your homes and creative projects.

These fabrics are perfect for:

  1. Throw Pillows

  2. Upholstery

Each one is a masterpiece, and every one of them is in stock and ready to ship from Sonoma, California.

We are deeply grateful that our business and premises remain unharmed. While fire inspectors continue their investigation, evidence suggests that people were living in the building where we stored the fabrics this past week. It has been an incredibly sad few days for us here, and we are so thankful to those of you who had purchased many of the bolts prior to the fire. Your foresight and support have preserved these fabrics for future appreciation and enjoyment.
